This dataset contains survey responses related to mobile money phone scams, collected to better understand the nature, frequency, and impact of fraudulent phone-based activities targeting mobile money users.
The data was collected through a structured survey administered to participants in Dang, Ngaoundéré, and surrounding areas in Cameroon. It captures information about users’ experiences with scam calls, messages, fraud techniques used by attackers, and the consequences faced by victims.
The dataset is intended for academic research, data analysis, and machine learning applications, particularly in the fields of cybersecurity, digital finance, fraud detection, and user awareness studies.
All responses are anonymous and were collected from voluntary participants. No personally identifiable information is included. The dataset can be used to analyze scam patterns, assess risk factors, and support the development of predictive or preventive strategies against mobile money fraud.
