When two brothers feel thirsty on a hunting trip, the elder brother climbs a fruit tree. But instead of the fruit, he only drops the empty skin down. Angry, the younger brother walks away and climbs a pandanus tree which devours him, leaving only his hair. The elder brother takes the hair home and cares for it.
