This dataset presents a map of Aedes albopictus mosquito larval breeding sites in Mauritius in August–September 2024. These field data were collected by field officers from the Vector Biology and Control Division of the Ministry of Health and Wellness in Mauritius. It constitutes a simplified survey of larval breeding sites, based on the REAGIT protocol (simplified survey of larval breeding sites) designed by the Vector Control Service of the Regional Health Agency of Réunion Island, which involves categorising mosquito larval breeding sites around dwellings according to their container type. This geolocated dataset was produced using open-source GIS software. In order to preserve the anonymity of those surveyed – particularly as the original personal data relates to health status – the dataset has been aggregated at the level of residential areas, each comprising approximately 200 to 300 houses.
