Monika Willy was a woman of Kuvru, a Dibu (Rao language-speaking) settlement in Andamang territory. She was loved near and far for her charming personality, sense of humor, and unfalteringly generous interactions with everyone she knew. She died on November 19 2017. This event marks the one-year anniversary of her death according to traditional Dibu customs as depicted in this recording. The event is led by her eldest son Konelius and involves a number of people from Kuvru, Dibu, as well as Andamang. She is sorely missed. Total audiovisual duration [23:03].
