Moving forward: AT in Egypt

The poster documents progress in AT in Egypt. A new independent AT resource centre opened in 2008 in Minia, thanks to the commitment of a local community development organization and the support of an Italian NGO. The driving concept behind it is that of safeguarding the rights of the children with disabilities. The focus is on enhancing independence. Technology is functionally embedded in strategies of use that are compatible with the local context.
