This dataset expands and reanalyzes the IPCC AR4 crop yield projections originally compiled by Challinor et al. (2014) and Hasagawa et al (2018), focusing on maize, rice, and wheat responses to local temperature increases in sub-Saharan Africa. A systematic literature search of Web of Science and Scopus identified additional studies reporting paired yield projections under control (no adaptation) and adaptation scenarios. Adaptation strategies include planting date shifts, fertilizer use, irrigation, cultivar changes, and bundled approaches. Yield responses were harmonized to a common 2005 baseline using WorldClim temperature anomalies and analyzed using polynomial regression with bootstrap resampling.
