National Information and Communication Technology Policy Framework

Since independence in 1980, Zimbabwe has recorded significant progress in the development and application of ICTs in all sectors of the economy. However, the benefits from this investment have been sub-optimal, primarily due to lack of coordination both at the policy, programme and project design level on one hand and implementation on the other. Accordingly, Government embarked on the development of a comprehensive policy and strategy document for effectively harnessing ICTs for sustainable national development.
