International audience In crisis situations, demographic data can be difficult to collect. This limits the effectiveness of humanitarian interventions by preventing an accurate assessment of needs. We aim to propose a robust statistical methodology for modeling a synthetic population. It must be able to reflect the dynamics and needs of the affected population. It also makes it possible to create synthetic environments to anticipate scenarios and their responses. The method has been applied to the case of internally displaced persons in Somalia.
