Kafuro tells the story of the water snake with two heads Oswin Köhler was one of the most important German Africanists of the second generation. He headed the Institute of African Studies at the University of Cologne from 1957 until his retirement in 1977. He studied many African languages from the Khoisan, Ban Kafuro († 1982) was one of Oswin Köhler's main consultants between 1965 and 1970, and a musician (songs to calabash resonated musical bow).
