This is a recording of a story created by the narrator, of how the disclosure of a secret results in murder. Themes include traditional justice, blood feud, and the marriage relationship. This item consists of a recorded Shilluk narrative (wav file), accompanied with annotation (in Praat TextGrid) and associated information: permissions and speaker questionnaire. The TextGrid annotation includes the Shilluk orthography, translation, phonological transcription, morpheme glosses, and comments.
