An analysis of outcomes in patients with kidney failure requiring dialysis We conducted a prospective observational multicenter cohort study of adults starting haemodialysis for AKI between 1 February 2018 to 1 February 2019 in public and private units. Baseline demographic and clinical data were recorded. Mortality was the primary outcome. Other outcomes included renal recovery and dialysis dependence at 12 months. Cumulative incidence of recovery and death was analysed using a competing-risks model. Cox regression was used to identify predictors of mortality.
