Persistent identifiers for researchers and research outputs

The presentation was given at the Kick-off Meeting of the National Academic Digital Repository of Ethiopia (NADRE) project, which was held in Addis Ababa on February 19-22, 2018. The issue of persistent identifiers for researchers and research output is presented and discussed in order to address science reproducibility and reusability. Common solutions based on widely accepted standards are described and explained with a focus on the opportunities for the Ethiopian research communities.
