The MBOW et al. (2013)’s predictive non-destructive-allometric equation accuracy allowed us to find Above-Ground vegetation Carbon stocks in the communes of Diouroup and Ndiago. The great variation in the Carbon Accumulation Levels is due to principally the soil salt in Diouroup and the vegetation clearance in Ndiago. We used a systematic stratified inventory to assess the vegetation floristic composition and the dendrometric parameters. The Adapted Endogenous Allometric Equation, that is the MBOW et al. (2013)’s one underwent, to be tested, a multiple linear regression using other tropical allometric equation models. We also developed a new parameter, the Local carbon Storage Performance Index, to compare species Carbon storage performance. The data statistical analyses and the multiple linear regression confirm the consistency of the MBOW et al. (2013)’s equation use. The great Carbon density variation allows the following results in the different strata mean values: 2.21 ± 0.00027 tC.ha-1 (Diouroup shrub); 38.7 ± 0.0046 tC.ha-1 (Diouroup tree); 8.53 ± 0.001 tC.ha-1 (Ndiago shrub); 16.2 ± 0.0019 tC.ha-1 (Ndiago tree). Whatmore, generally the Ndiago’s vegetation stores Carbon 8 times more than the Diouroup’s. These Carbon differences are attributed to soil salt and clearance. Despite this, the Local carbon Storage Performance Index analysis designates Balanites aegyptiaca, Combretum glutinosum and Faidherbia albida as the most performant species in both communes, which are recommended for future reforestations.
