Primary Audio Archive (2005): Kiamu Dialect Linguistic Fieldwork (Blue Minidisc)

This deposit contains the original, unedited audio recordings from the "Blue" field minidisc. It is a central part of the primary acoustic archives collected during the 2005 linguistic fieldwork conducted by Dr. Mathieu Roy in the Lamu archipelago (Kenya).

This specific minidisc is of particular importance as it contains the source recording for the poem "Kiswahili !!" by Sheikh Mahmud Ahmed Abdull Kadir (Ustadh Mau), located on track 2. The disc serves as a vital component of the foundational corpus used for the phonetic, phonological, and morphological structural analysis of the northern Swahili Kiamu dialect. It preserves the authentic prosody and phonetic realization of the dialect as exploited and cited in the author's linguistic monograph.
