Processed data and validation scripts supporting the manuscript “Climatic composition of atmospheric moisture sources is associated with dryland precipitation variability”.
This repository contains processed pixel-level data, harmonized aridity-class outputs, model outputs, Supporting Information Tables S1–S9, selected figure-source values, final figure files, documentation, and lightweight Python validation scripts used to verify the numerical results reported in the manuscript.
The repository supports verification and reproducibility of the numerical results reported in the manuscript from processed data. It is not a complete raw-data-to-analysis or raw-data-to-figure reproduction package. Raw third-party datasets, including UTrack atmospheric moisture-tracking data, MSWEP precipitation, Global Aridity Index, MODIS MCD12C1 land-cover data, SPEIbase, and ERA5 products, are not redistributed and should be obtained from their original providers.
The effective number of moisture-source locations (Neff) used in the manuscript is the inverse-Simpson effective number calculated from normalized monthly source contributions and subsequently averaged across months.
