In this conversation four Andamang villagers chat and I (the researcher) join the conversation after preparing some Chini phrases in the hopes of making some contributions, to ask about certain cultural practices I had been wondering about. There is a lot of discussion about the environment and the weather, since it begins to rain and then eventually begins to pour, so we all pack up abruptly and run away. As the conversation begins, Kristofilda is fishing in the pond (out of view) and so Emma and Dorothy direct her and interact with her about the fishing. At various points Dorothy and I work to set up the camera and protect it from the rain with banana tree leaves, which keep falling down. They discuss fishing practices and tell stories about recent and old incidents involving fishing. Total audiovisual duration [42:30]
