This article examines the impact of theatre projects on language acquisition and literacy promotion in the study of German as a Foreign Language at the University of Winneba (Ghana). In collaboration with the University of Potsdam (Germany), the presented seminar project enhances the German language skills and literary abilities of prospective German teachers. By integrating theatre activities such as performances and text interpretation, students improve their speaking, listening, and comprehension skills while fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. The study highlights the practical benefits of such projects in linguistically diverse classrooms and emphasizes their potential for creating effective and inclusive learning environments for teacher education.
