This folder contains data used in chapter 2 of the thesis. Various data sources are used as defined in the table below. Please note that countries with no sufficient data across board, especially to capture Online Angel Activity, Tech hub and Start-up Web Presence were excluded (in the report). The final sample contains data on 21 Sub-Saharan African countries. Data on data on Online Angel, Tech Hub and Start Up Web represent the condition as at the time (2018; for Tech Hub, 2016). For the other sources the averages of the periods indicated apply.
