This was analysis of data from children aged 2 to 59months admitted at Kilifi County hospital from 2007 to 2015 and linked with Kilifi Health and Demographic Surveillance System (KHDSS). Children were included in this study if they were admitted with diarrheal disease. The aim of this data analysis was to evaluate estimate inpatient and 1-year post-discharge mortality and to describe risk factors for an increased risk of death. Variables include: participant demographics, clinical and laboratory test parameters
