This study examines the digital transformation of scientific research in Algeria, focusing on the strategies adopted by research institutions to align with global technological advancements. Key strategies identified include the development of digital repositories, integration with global databases, comprehensive indexing, open-access publishing, peer-reviewed journal publication, and the adoption of advanced digital tools such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics. Despite these efforts, institutions face significant challenges, including limited funding, inadequate infrastructure, and a shortage of qualified human resources. The findings underscore Algeria’s ongoing initiatives to foster collaboration between research institutions and the private sector, alongside the formulation of national policies to support digital transformation. These measures aim to enhance research quality, accessibility, and impact, thereby contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
