Revolutionary Anti Microwave Radiation Eco-Friendly Cement Blocks

The increased need for telecommunications services has led to an increase in microwave radiationemissions which has sparked interest in the development of environmentally friendly microwave absorbers whichmay be a viable alternative. Agricultural and forestry by-products can be used as a low-cost and renewable supplyof carbon materials because these superior materials are known as good microwave absorbing material. These wasteitems are usually difficult to dispose of because they have less economic value and may also cause pollution to theenvironment. Therefore, converting waste materials to activated carbon would provide significant economic value,minimize waste disposal costs, and, most importantly, provide a potentially affordable alternative to currentlyavailable commercial activated carbon. This study develops advanced eco-friendly rubberwood-based cement blockswith granular activated carbon (GAC) composite coconut shell for superior microwave radiation reduction. Usingrubberwood and coconut shells, agricultural waste, in building materials provides a sustainable solution to reducemicrowave radiation, addressing environmental and health concerns. Wedge-shaped GAC composite coconut shelldesigns were integrated into rubberwood-based cement blocks, and their microwave absorption properties wereinvestigated. Results show significant improvement in microwave absorption. The study analyzed dielectricproperties, absorption efficiency, and structural integrity, confirming feasibility for practical use. This ecoinnovativemethod offers a cost-effective, sustainable alternative to conventional microwave absorbers for variousapplications.
