This research paper presents a novel approach to detecting drug cultivation in Egypt through the use of satellite imagery and spectral analysis techniques. The increasing challenges posed by illicit drug farming necessitate effective monitoring and intervention strategies. By employing high-resolution satellite data and advanced remote sensing methods, this project aims to provide actionable insights for law enforcement agencies, including the Ministry of Interior and the General Administration for Drug Control. The methodology includes the application of various spectral indices, particularly the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), to differentiate between drug plants and other vegetation. Machine learning algorithms will be utilized to enhance the accuracy of the detection process, allowing for the timely identification of drug cultivation sites. The expected outcomes involve generating detailed maps and reports that highlight areas of concern, contributing significantly to national security efforts in Egypt. This study underscores the potential of remote sensing technology in addressing critical agricultural security issues and reinforces the commitment to leveraging scientific advancements for public safety.
