Social media challenges, risks and its management in academic libraries

Quantitative and qualitative data was used to inform a mixed method study investigating the elements of a social media risk focused governance framework for African academic libraries. The research study specifically focused on identifying social media challenges, risks and social media management in academic libraries, in the Standing Conference of Eastern, Central and Southern African Library and Information Associations (SCECSAL). The data further investigated elements and strategies to mitigate social media risks and challenges.
