This repository contains the source data underlying the figures in Raman et al., "Geographical Variation in Antimalarial Drug Resistance Marker Prevalence Across the Southern African Elimination Eight Region" (medRxiv, 2026,
doi.org).
The dataset includes prevalence of Plasmodium falciparum antimalarial drug resistance markers, stratified by country, province, and district, alongside reported malaria incidence data (cases per 1,000 population) at the district level for the six participating Elimination Eight countries.
Files included:
k13_marker_by_country.csv — Prevalence of kelch13 (k13) resistance-associated markers, by country
k13_marker_by_province.csv — Prevalence of k13 markers, by province
k13_marker_by_district.csv — Prevalence of k13 markers, by district
nonk13_marker_by_country.csv — Prevalence of non-k13 resistance markers (crt, dhfr, dhps, mdr1, mdr2, and PF3D7_1322700), by country
nonk13_marker_by_province.csv — Prevalence of non-k13 markers, by province
nonk13_marker_by_district.csv — Prevalence of non-k13 markers, by district
reported_incidence.csv — Reported malaria incidence (cases per 1,000 population) by district
