This dataset contains the integrated input parameters used for modelling the South African electricity sector from 2020 to 2050. The data is organized into two primary spreadsheets:

  • Demand Modelling (MAED): Contains the socio-economic and technical input parameters used to generate long-term electricity demand projections. These projections serve as the demand-side basis for the supply-side modelling.
  • Supply-Side Modelling (OSeMOSYS): Includes techno-economic data and assumptions for the South African electricity sector.

This work is funded by the Climate Compatible Growth Programme.
