Surgical Care Delivery in Sudan Before and After the 2023 Armed Conflict: A Scoping Review

Since the outbreak of armed conflict in Sudan in April 2023, the national healthcare system has experienced unprecedented collapse and facility destruction. This scoping review follows the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology and PRISMA-ScR guidelines to systematically map and synthesize evidence on surgical care delivery across all surgical specialties in Sudan, comparing the pre-conflict period (< April 2023) with the conflict period (≥ April 2023) across workforce, infrastructure, case volume, training, and clinical outcomes.
