This dataset supports the findings of the research article entitled
"Governance Mechanisms and Knowledge Sharing in International Firms:
Theoretical Analysis and Empirical Evidence from the Algerian Context,"
submitted to the Journal of Management and Governance (Springer).
The dataset contains anonymized survey responses collected between March
and September 2023 from 142 international firms (multinational subsidiaries
and joint ventures) operating in Algeria across five sectors: oil & gas,
manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, and other services.
Variables cover: (1) formal governance mechanisms (board of directors,
audit committees, internal control systems, internal reporting transparency);
(2) informal governance mechanisms (organizational social capital,
organizational culture, trust networks); (3) knowledge sharing intensity
(composite index); (4) institutional environment moderators;
and (5) firm-level control variables (size, sector, subsidiary age,
parent company nationality).
All responses are fully anonymized. No personally identifiable information
is included.
