Sussundenga malaria risk

This dataset is from a community based cross-sectional survey in Sussundenga, Mozambique. The survey was conducted in 2019-2020 in households identified from satellite imagery. Demographics of participants and risk factors for malaria were obtained by questionnaire and malaria infection was obtained by rapid diagnostic test (RDT).  # Sussundenga malaria risk [doi.org](doi.org) This is a summary dataset of individual level data from a community based cross-sectional survey in Sussundenga village, Mozambique collected from December 2019 - February 2020. ## Description of the data and file structure * Number: numeric variable indicating the participant id number * rdt\_result\_nomiss: results of the RDT test done at the time of the household survey. 0=negative, 1=positive * adult\_child: indicator variable of whether the participant is an adult (>13 years) or child (<14 years). 0=child, 1=adult * Sex: self-reported sex. 0=male, 1=female * malaria\_treat\_more: indicator variable of whether the participant sought treatment for the last episode of malaria symptoms. 0=no, 1=yes. * employment\_paid: indicator variable for the type of paid employment of the participant. 0=no eligible for employment, 1=no paid employment, 2=paid employment * Age: Continuous age of participant * Phone: cell phone ownership. 0=no, 1=yes, 2=not applicable * Education: categorical variable of highest education level attained. 0=none, 1=primary, 2=secondary, 3=higher than secondary * Pop dens: estimated population density of the neighborhood. * Hous Size: continuous variable of the number of residents in the household * HHCategory: categorical variable of the households being small or large based on number of residents. 1= <6 residents, 2= 6+ residents * Age category: categorical variable based on age of participant. 0=0-5 years, 1=6-15 years, 2=16-25 years, 3=>25 years. * Bairros: indicator variable for the neighborhood.
