Hamal Faqir Laghari is regarded as one of the most distinguished poets of Sindhi classical literature, who elevated the poetic form of the Bait through artistic excellence, intellectual depth, and linguistic uniqueness. His poetry embodies a coherent intellectual framework that integrates folk tradition, mysticism, love, ethical values, social consciousness, patriotism, and aesthetic sensibility. Although several studies have examined Hamal Faqir's poetry, a comprehensive, text-centered, and critical analysis of his Baits from technical, intellectual, and linguistic perspectives has remained relatively limited. In this context, the present study aims to investigate the artistic structure, intellectual framework, linguistic characteristics, and stylistic distinctiveness of Hamal Faqir's Baits. This research adopts a qualitative approach employing descriptive, analytical, and text-centered methodologies. Kulliyat-e-Hamal serves as the primary source, while authoritative books and scholarly studies on Sindhi poetry, classical literature, linguistics, and literary criticism constitute the secondary sources. The findings reveal that while preserving the traditional structure of the Bait, Hamal Faqir introduced artistic innovation, thematic diversity, and intellectual profundity. His Baits present an integrated vision encompassing love, mysticism, moral values, social criticism, the significance of human relationships, patriotism, and folk wisdom. Linguistically, his poetry is distinguished by its simplicity and accessibility, rhythmic musicality, symbolic expression, vivid imagery, metaphors, idiomatic richness, and stylistic maturity. Hamal Faqir's poetic style not only revitalized the Sindhi Bait tradition with renewed aesthetic vitality but also represents a significant milestone in the evolutionary development of Sindhi classical poetry. This study highlights the artistic, intellectual, and linguistic significance of Hamal Faqir's Baits from contemporary critical perspectives, making a valuable contribution to the study of Sindhi classical poetry while opening new avenues for future scholarly research.
