Abstract Tele-oncology is the use of digital technology to facilitate remote consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for cancer patients, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where resources and expertise are scarce. Tele-oncology leverages digital technology for remote cancer care, critical in resource-limited LMICs. Tele-surgery, through robotic assistance, and teleradiology, by remote imaging analysis, enhance surgical outcomes, and breast cancer diagnoses. Digital pathology, augmented by artificial intelligence (AI), transforms pathology with advanced analysis and decision-making tools, improving accuracy and pathology-reporting efficiency. User-driven cooperatives facilitate the creation of patient-centric platforms, merging research and clinical practice, thus addressing tele-oncology’s implementation challenges across diverse regions.
