5G technology is poised to revolutionize urban development in Togolese cities by enhancing connectivity, reducing latency, and increasing data throughput. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative surveys (n=120) and qualitative interviews (n=10) was employed to gather data from municipal officials, private sector partners, and technology providers. A logistic regression model was used to analyse the predictors of 5G adoption based on socioeconomic factors. The analysis revealed that infrastructure readiness and economic incentives significantly influence 5G adoption decisions in urban settings (OR=1.87, p<0.05). This study provides a robust methodological foundation for assessing the potential of 5G technology in Togolese cities. Urban planners and policymakers should prioritise infrastructure development and incentivize private sector investment to facilitate 5G deployment. 5G, urban development, logistic regression, digital transformation, Togo
