The main aim of this study (scoping review) is to map evidence on the prevalence, incidence, mortality, risk factors and economic costs of MSD among nurses in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are the second most common cause of disability worldwide with low back pain (LBP) being the most prevalent and nurses are highly affected professions. The study anticipates to find out the associated risk factors of musculoskeletal injuries among nurses and the recommended strategies that can be used to alleviate the high prevalence of MSD.
