The Palavra Method - A New Educational Model

The framework proposed here, the Palavra Method, draws on two philosophical traditions that converge: Ignatian pedagogy’s commitment to formation through freedom, accompaniment, and discernment and the African Palaver tradition’s practice of communal deliberation, shared knowledge construction, and wisdom through dialogue. Placed in conversation, these traditions produce an educational architecture that neither could generate independently; hence, it is deeply rooted and completely new.

I must add that this is not a proposal to integrate AI into the existing educational model. It is a proposal to reconceive education itself, its spaces, its methods, its purposes, its relationships, and its outcomes for a world in which artificial intelligence is permanent, pervasive, and accelerating. The question is not how to defend education against AI. The question is what education becomes when AI is fully considered mainstream.
