Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between customer integration and the performance of Multinational Corporations in Kenya. Methodology: The study employed a descriptive research design targeting 237 for-profit multinational corporations registered and operating in Kenya. The unit of observation comprised supply chain managers, as they are directly involved in supply chain integration practices and decision-making. A sample of 147 supply chain managers was selected, with simple random sampling used to identify participating corporations and purposive sampling used to select respondents. Data was collected between November and December 2023 using semi-structured questionnaires for primary data and a data extraction template for secondary data. Analysis involved correlation and regression techniques. Findings: The findings revealed that most multinational corporations in Kenya collaborate with customers in new product development, forecasting supply chain patterns, installing common IT systems, stock replenishment, and marketing activity planning. Correlation analysis indicated a positive and significant relationship between customer integration and performance, while regression results confirmed that customer integration has a statistically significant effect on performance. The t-statistic exceeded 1.96, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Conclusion: The study concluded that customer integration improves firm performance through enhanced coordination, reduced lead times, and minimized inefficiencies. Collaborative efforts in product development and IT system adoption enable firms to leverage customer insights to drive innovation, improve product quality, and boost customer satisfaction. These findings align with systems theory, highlighting the value of interconnectedness and coordinated interactions in adapting to market needs. Recommendations: It is recommended that multinational corporations formalize collaborative practices such as joint execution schedules, shared forecasting, and joint project teams. Investment in common IT systems, customer participation in product development and marketing planning, and robust feedback systems should be prioritized to foster innovation, responsiveness, and sustained competitiveness.
