This dataset comprises high-resolution video recordings and extracted image frames captured from various pedestrian footbridges along the Thika Superhighway in Kenya. The collection is specifically designed to support academic research in computer vision, including tasks such as vehicle detection, traffic flow analysis, and the training of object detection models like YOLO. The footage captures diverse real-world traffic conditions, lighting variations, and multiple vehicle classes typical of a major East African arterial highway. Researchers and developers can utilize this dataset to benchmark image and video processing algorithms, evaluate automated surveillance systems, or develop intelligent transportation models tailored for developing urban environments.
