Time Series Forecasting of Beef Production in Somalia Using Single and Hybrid Models

This repository contains the dataset and supporting materials for the study titled “Time Series Forecasting of Beef Production in Somalia Using Single and Hybrid Models.” The study analyzes annual beef production data for Somalia from 1961 to 2023 and applies a range of single and hybrid time-series forecasting models to evaluate historical trends and predict future production patterns.

The purpose of this repository is to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and open scientific access to the data and analytical outputs used in the study. The dataset was prepared for time-series modeling and includes the annual beef production values used for model development, validation, and forecasting.

The study compares the performance of several single forecasting models and hybrid forecasting models in order to identify the most accurate approach for forecasting beef production in Somalia. Model performance was evaluated using standard forecast accuracy measures, and the results provide evidence for agricultural planning, food security policy, and livestock production monitoring.
