International audience This paper presents the results of a project of standardization of the Bambara orthography on the basis of an annotated corpus of texts (The Bambara Reference Corpus). First, all lexemes in the Bamadaba dictionary which had spelling variants were checked for their frequences in the Corpus. Then the variants were sorted, and standard graphic variants for a great number of lexemes were established. As a final step, a list of lexemes for which statistics were insufficient was drawn up, and a group of experts representing different Malian linguistic institutions discussed this list and selected the variants which could be accepted as standard. At the same time, general spelling rules of Bambara were revisited and edited wherever necessary. L’article présente les résultats d’un projet de standardisation de l’orthographe bambara sur la base d’un corpus annoté des textes (Corpus Bambara de Référence). A la première étape, pour tous les lexèmes du dictionnaire Bamadaba ayant des variantes graphiques, les statistiques d’occurrences détaillées dans le Corpus ont été relevées. Puis, ces variantes ont été triées, ce qui a permis d’établir l’écriture normative pour la majorité des lexèmes variables. A l’étape finale, les lexèmes à formes variables pour lesquelles les données statistiques avaient été considérées insuffisantes ont été discutés par un groupe d’experts représentant des instances linguistiques maliennes différentes, et les variantes normatives ont été sélectionnées. En même temps, les règles d’orthographe bambara ont été revisitées et précisées là où cela s’est avéré nécessaire.
