Machine Intelligence will soon be sought to play AYO, a Nigerian board game, and an equivalent to European Chess. In this paper, a design of an imperative Man-Machine interface, towards the development of an efficient and better strategic moves for the game is presented.Algorithm for moves, captures, end-of-game and in particular the strategy which makes use of matrix of difference-in-capture in two level abstraction, will be discussed. The algorithm which had been coded in various high level programming languages for different systems, is presently coded in BASIC to run on IBM-PC and HP series of micro-computers at the Bauchi campus of the Ahmadu Bello University.
