This dataset supports the manuscript submitted to Open Research Africa (F1000). It contains all empirical evidence gathered during a 14-day longitudinal study of an ESP32-based smart lock system. The data demonstrates 100% edge autonomy during network outages and a 98% authentication accuracy rate. Version 2.0 includes updated high-resolution prototype imagery, structured MQTT schemas, and the finalized ethical approval certificate from Citycot University (Permit: CU-CIARI-IRC-2026-0012).
