Unique presentations of female pattern hair loss evident in Asian and Black women

While racial variations in the presentation of androgenetic alopecia have been reported in men, similar data are very limited in women. We studied the distribution patterns of 112 women with female pattern hair loss and identified unique presentations in Asian, particularly those of South Asian descent, and Black women. These results may have implications for treatment response rates in different populations.
