This dataset contains the primary survey data collected for the study titled "Unraveling the Path from Savings to Entrepreneurship: A Mediational Analysis through Financial Literacy and Risk Tolerance." The data were gathered from 201 final-year students and National Service Personnel at the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, using a two-wave longitudinal structured questionnaire administered between 2023 and 2024.
The dataset comprises 201 respondents and 42 variables across five demographic items and four construct measurement scales. Demographic variables include gender, level of formal education, age group, marital status, and employment type. The four constructs measured are Savings Behaviour (SB1–SB9, 9 items), Entrepreneurial Intentions (EI1–EI8, 8 items), Financial Literacy (FI1–FI10, 10 items), and Risk Tolerance (RT1–RT10, 10 items). All construct items were measured on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree). All responses are fully anonymised and contain no personally identifiable information.
The data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. The dataset is provided in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) and SPSS (.sav) formats and is suitable for replication, secondary analysis, and methodological extension.
