This algorithm allows the validation process of the previously established RF models and in-situ ground station information, provided by the International Soil Moisture Network (ISMN).

Key differences between active, passive, combined and gap-filled: While the active displays soil moisture (SM) with percentage of saturation (%), the others use volumentric moisture (m3/m3). This leads to comparitive issues between models, hence the introduction of a unit conversion using a fixed soil porositv value.

The code provides both the validation of the passive/combed/gap-filled, as well as the unit conversion and validation of the active RF model.
