It did not seem socially appropriate to subject TZ to audio recording given his extreme frailty, and the fact that this was our first meeting. Therefore the only record is the transcriptions (done jointly by SM and IW).

Some of the words were contributed by Maraha Tura, probably the son of TZ.

This is currently (2009) probably the most reliable source of data on Damakawa.
