During her initiation ceremony Masiarapuu has to stay hidden in a tree, because her relatives did not prepare an initiation hut for her. She only comes down when her mother brings food and calls for her. One day a giant is listening and calls for Masiarapuu. When she comes down, he eats her. As soon as the village people realise this, they kill him.
