Djingareyber Mosque is a prominent mudbrick structure in Timbuktu built in the Sudano-Sahelian style. It features a large prayer hall, minarets, and internal courtyards. Historically, the mosque has served as a center for Islamic scholarship and community gatherings. Its design reflects the fusion of religious, educational, and architectural traditions in West Africa.Djingareyber Mosque is part of the listed UNESCO World Heritage Site, 'Timbuktu'.The Zamani Project seeks to increase awareness and knowledge of tangible cultural heritage in Africa and internationally by creating metrically accurate digital representations of historical sites. Digital spatial data of cultural heritage sites can be used for research and education, for restoration and conservation, and as a record for future generations. The Zamani Project operates as a non-profit organisation within the University of Cape Town.Special thanks to the Andrew W.
