The percentage of DNA methylation levels at promoter CpG Island were analyzed in bisulfite-modified genomic DNA extracted from saliva from 98 African American young adults (Females = 50, Males = 48; Age 18–25 years old) using pyrosequencing. Top graph is samples from males and bottom is samples from females. Percentage (%) scale is shown to the right and samples are arranged by age from top to the bottom.
