A Me a Kalo (“I have said enough” / “Let me say no more”) is Analytical Study No. 2 in the series Analytical Studies in African Choral Art Music. This study examines Mohau Mogale’s African choral art work through score, text, compositional design, structure, performance practice, and the composer’s perspective. It situates the work within Setswana expressive culture and discusses its use of movement, rhythm, Setapa, leader–chorus exchange, sonority-based harmony, text-driven construction, and embodied performance. As part of the series, this publication contributes to the development of a vocabulary for the analysis of African choral works.
