Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic cruelly impacted global public health, which necessitated a vigorous government health campaigns and intervention aimed at mitigating the spread of the virus. In Nigeria and of course which is the point of reference, these campaigns have been vital in promoting awareness and encouraging vaccine uptake in the state. This paper employs a mixed-methods approach to evaluate the effectiveness of Taraba state government health campaigns, focusing on vaccine uptake during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study integrates quantitative data from surveys assessing health campaign reach and qualitative interviews exploring public perceptions and barriers to vaccine uptake. Findings reveal both the strengths and weaknesses of the health campaigns in Taraba State, providing insights for future public health strategies.
