A Predictive Decision Support Model to Address Deindustrialisation and Trade Deficits in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's economic landscape is challenged by a persistent trade deficit, heavy import reliance, and deindustrialisation [1]. This research proposes a Predictive Decision Support Model (PDSM) leveraging Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) to aid policy-makers in formulating data-driven strategies for industrial growth. By forecasting key economic indicators and identifying priority sectors for investment, the Model supports reindustrialisation and trade deficit reduction.
