Hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes are two of the most prevalent non-communicable diseases in the world and leading causes of morbidity and mortality. Diabetes is the most common global metabolic disorder and is considered as a major public health threat. Although both conditions are becoming more prevalent in the sub-Saharan Africa, descriptive datasets with large number of entries are not readily available. We gathered data from a total of 13 public health centers located in eight of the eleven sub-cities of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and included those patients who were registered in a period from September 2021 to June 2022. From a total dataset of 3785 patients, 2242 had hypertension, 990 had diabetes, and 553 had both conditions. To our knowledge, no comparable Ethiopian hypertension and Type 2 diabetes registry dataset has previously been made publicly available; by releasing these data, we provide a resource for future hypertension, diabetes, multimorbidity, and population-health research.
